Features
The digital dash will work in any vehicle as long as it is equipped with an AEM engine management system. Firmware is available for EMS software versions 0.89, 0.94, 1.03, 1.11, 1.19.
The digital dash uses an EL backlit LCD for nighttime viewing.
The digital dash comes complete with a cigarette lighter adapter and serial cable. To setup the unit simply attach the serial cable to the EMS's serial cable, plug in the cigarette lighter adapter and you're ready to go!
The digital dash can show up to 16 different parameters on the display in real time. Choose from all of parameters available to monitor (AFR, AFR target, knock, Ignition timing, coolant temp, intake air temp, battery voltage, injectory duty, the list goes on and on) Update rates vary, expect anywhere from 20 to 40 updates per second!
The peak value for each parameter being monitored is automatically stored, and can be recalled at the push of a button. Warning levels for all parameters can also be set so that if something is going wrong you'll know instantly. This functionality alone allows the digital dash to replace 16 full featured individual gauges!
Graph mode or Unit mode can be selected for each parameter. Some of the available units are. Celsius/Fahrenheit, kPa/PSI, AFR/lambda, mph/kph, etc.
A super bright LED is built into every digital dash display. This LED is activated by settings you are able to specify. Whether it be a lean AFR condition, over boost or engine knock, the digital dash will warn you.
Instantaneous MPG, wheel horsepower and wheel torque can be viewed on the dash, just like other parameters are.
The digital dash firmware is continually evolving and upgrades are always available for free. User software is supplied which allows you to upgrade your unit without having to send it back to us.
A rotary selector and 4 buttons on the face of the digital dash, allow for quick and easy setup, and configuration of the unit.
The digital dash display is made out of high quality CNC machined aluminum.
Below is a picture of the complete Digital Dash. All of the electronics are enclosed in the machined aluminum LCD enclosure. A cigarette lighter cord, and DB9 serial cord provide power and a connection to the engine management system.
The CNC machined aluminum display housing measures 7.75" x 3" x 1"
